Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. James C. “J.C.” Turner, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the age of 88. Graveside Services will be Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 11:00 am at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Derek Gentle officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Turner is survived by his sons, James Edward Turner (Ida) and Raymond Craig Turner (Emmie); four grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sister, Mrs. Helen Davis. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Marion Clanton Turner; parents, Dora Jane Jones and L.P. Turner and sister, Annie Catherine Turner Aldridge. Mr. Turner was a retired Alabama State Trooper with 30 years of service and a body guard for Gov. George Wallace for many years. The family will receive friends Friday evening, April 11, 2014, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
