Edwin Davis, Sr., a lifelong resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015, at the age of 84. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at 11:00am from East Tallassee Church of Christ with Minister Mike McElroy, Toby Quinn and Reverend Rick Dorley officiating. Burial will follow in Carrville Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Davis is survived by his four children; son, James E. “Bubba” Davis, Jr. (Gloria); daughters, Lisa East (Steve), Abby Coan (Chris) and Kelly Baker; grandchildren, Brad Davis (Catherine), Bryan Davis (Cristal), Rachel Parker (Kris), Adam East, Beth East, Jake Coan, Logan Coan, Cody Baker, Bailey Jones (Jerri Leigh), Phillip Jones (Aarin), Jason Jones (Kim) and Jessica Milam (Bo); thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Sarah Pearson; sister-in-law, Lil Hayes (Harry) and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Mrs. Lota Davis; daughter, Jane Davis Holloway; parents, James Mather Davis and Lora B. Richardson; granddaughter, Ashley Holloway; grandson, David Lee Baker and great grandson, Brady Bo Milam. The family will receive friends Monday, April 20, 2015, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at East Tallassee Church of Christ. Mr. Davis will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
