Bernard Huey, Sr., age 82 and a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Monday, September 09, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 12, 2013, at 11:00 am from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Isaac Kervin officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Huey is survived by his son, E. B. Huey, Jr. and daughter, Angela Ledbetter (Robbie); grandchildren, Kim Ledbetter, Megan Barker (Russell), Brittney Whatley (C.C.) and Jeremy Ledbetter; great grandchildren, Autumn Sellers and Abbi-Gayle Barker; brother, Leonard Huey and sister, Sylvia Murphree, both of Prattville, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed L. and Bertha Huey and a brother, James L. Huey. Mr. Huey was the owner of E.B. Huey Electric Company and HVAC, serving the southeast over 50 years. He began electrical work while serving in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict. Active pallbearers will be Bobby Payne, Kenny Peters, Herbert Mason, Doyle Wiggins, Tommy Sanford and Jeremy Ledbetter. Honorary pallbearers will be Wiley Ennis, Spencer Mason, Charles Mulder and Arnold Dopson.
