He was born March 20, 1942, in East Tallassee, Alabama. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 09, 2015, at 1:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Alexander City, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until service time. Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 09, 2015, at 3:30 PM at Elam Baptist Church Cemetery, Tallassee, Alabama, with Rev. Jamie Baldwin officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home of Tallassee directing. Buddy is survived by his wife, Mrs. Janice B. Lynn; his sons, Clint, Eric, Shey and Bryan Lynn, all of Tallassee, Alabama; his step children, Lori and Tim Woodall of Tallassee, Alabama, and his sisters, Romona Burt of Willston, South Carolina and Beth Baldwin of Tallassee, Alabama. Buddy also leaves 7 grandchildren, 6 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Hope Lynn of Tallassee, Alabama. Buddy was especially proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a PFC E-2 from July of 1960 to July of 1964. Buddy’s careers covered a variety of work including insurance, construction, steel work and welding. Buddy volunteered at First United Methodist Church in Alexander City where he served as ground keeper and greeter. He truly enjoyed the music there and his hugs every Sunday will be missed. His humor is legendary and he will be remembered for his wonderful laugh and good cheer. Buddy loved nature, hunting and fishing which was reflected in his art. His artwork brought joy to many friends and family and other collectors. He has beautiful metalwork, wood burning, carving, painting and Native American artifacts gracing the homes and lives of many. The family will be accepting visitors at the home of Ella and Dale MacFiggen, 115 Windswept, Alexander City, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CPH/PATH FINDERS (an organization “for individuals needing dementia education, resources, and support”.)
