Funeral services will be Monday, April 21, 2014, at 3:00 pm from First Holiness Church, Tallassee, Alabama, with Pastor David Treadwell officiating. Burial will follow in Union United Methodist Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Simmons is survived by his children, Lois Ann Fuller (Jimmie) and Jerry Simmons; grandchildren, Lee Hanvey, Lynn Wood, Joe Hanvey, Jamie Fuller, Sherry Adcock, Cindy Pugh and Crystal Fuller; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and brother, Charles Simmons. He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Ruth Simmons; his second wife of over 12 years, Dot Simmons; daughter, Judy Fuller; parents, Herman and Ruth Simmons; brothers, R.T. and Virnard Simmons; sisters, Virgil Boulware, Sara North, Ola Ruth Mask and Mary Emma Adcox and grandson, Brian Ashley Simmons.
