Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Claude Jackson (Jack) Mask, Jr. We lost a great, kind, caring man Sunday, August 24, 2014. Jack passed away suddenly at age 65. He was a loving husband, proud devoted father, and very proud grandfather. He always had a smile on his face that was contagious. He was the most selfless person you will ever meet, always willing to give or share anything he had, always doing for everyone else. Whether he was counting down the days until Alabama football season, or playing golf with friends while talking about Alabama football, he was the most genuine, happy, sincere man there ever was. If you were to ask Jack, he would say "I'm the happiest man in the whole world." He loved spending time with his loving children, enjoying his days with his new wife, "Sweet Paula" and, of course, cheering on the Crimson Tide. He enjoyed playing card games weekly with his buddies, and rarely missed his Thursday morning coffee sessions with his old friends from Channel 6, or as they call themselves, "The Has-Beens.” He was generous in spirit, and in life, and our hearts will miss him until we see him again. Until then, we will hold onto our memories a little tighter, yell "Roll Tide" a little louder, and vow to try to live more like Jack did by just being happy to be here surrounded by the people we love. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Claude Jackson Mask, Sr. and Dorothy Golden Mask Feagin, and his step-father, Samuel B. Feagin; his uncle, Harold Mask, and his aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Charles Dean. He is survived by his wife, Paula Estes Mask; his brother, Stephen H. Mask (Jane); his adoring children, two daughters, Ashley Mask and Jessica Mask Simms (Andy); his son, CJ Mask (Lauren) and his granddaughter, Vada Lee Simms. He is also survived by his previous wife, Ann Mask and his step-daughter, Danielle McDavid; uncle, Donald Golden (Marina); aunt, Gayle Mask; two nieces and a large family of cousins. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration Of His Life on Thursday, August 28, 2014, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel, Birmingham, Alabama. The family will also receive friends Friday, August 29, 2014, from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at Jeffcoat Funeral Home, Tallassee, Alabama.
