Mr. Charles Thomas Martin

Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. Charles “Tommy” Martin, a resident of Reeltown, Alabama, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011, at the age of 74. Memorial services will be Thursday, December 22, 2011, at 6:00pm at Carrville Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Skinner and Carrville Baptist Church Men’s Discipleship Class officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Diana Martin; children, Stacy Evans (Bruce), Leighann Denton (Guy), Robbie Hayward (Jill) and Craig Martin (Tammy); grandchildren, Brad, Casey and Lindsey Evans, Chelsea Brant, Jeff Denton (Jamie), Dana Horn (Bryan), Kim Kjeldgaard (Pat) and Brantley Hayward; seven great grandchildren and two brothers, William Jesse Martin and Dale Martin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Obed J. and Laura Martin; granddaughter, Kayleigh Brant and sister, Carol Martin. Mr. Martin was a member of Carrville Baptist Church and an honorary member of several FFA Chapters in Zephyr Hills, Florida. He also served in the United States Army as a member of Special Forces. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, December 22, 2011, from 5:00pm until service time at Carrville Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carrville Baptist Church Building Fund, 2436 Notasulga Road, Tallassee, Alabama 36078, or to a favorite charity.
