Funeral services will be Thursday, November 20, 2014, at 11:00am from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Albert Russell officiating. Mr. Kirkus is survived by his son, Mr. Von Kirkus (Emily); daughter, Joyce Kirkus Webb; grandchildren, Sarah Beth Kirkus, Scott Nelson (Heather), Asa Kirkus (Jeannie), Aaron Kirkus, Sally Matlock, Grace Matlock; great grandchildren, Allen Nelson and Avery Nelson; brother-in-law, John Stacey (Janice); several nieces and nephews. Mr. Kirkus is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Beth Kirkus and his parents, Aubrey and Anna Kirkus; brothers, Aubrey “Al” Lee Kirkus, Jr. and Martin Kirkus; sisters, Jo Ann Savage and Jewel Cosey.
