Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Charles Earl Milner, 81, of Lake Martin, Alabama, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015. He was born on September 12, 1933. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel, with graveside service immediately following at New Prospect Cemetery, Dadeville, Ala. Reverends Dan Rhodes and Tim Davis will be officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Milner is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shelby Burton Milner; children, Wanda Kay Milner Hard (Trey), Pam Milner Hodnett, Donna Milner, Margrit Tate, and Chuck Milner (Ragan); grandchildren, Ashley Holmes, Elizabeth Hard Stone (Bo), Coltin Milner and Chance Milner; great-granddaughter, Lily Holmes; sister Yvonne Milner McGarr (Drew); and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Milner is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Effie Belle Milner. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Mr. Milner was lovingly known as “Pop” by his family. He enjoyed many happy years living on Lake Martin and loved spending time on the boat and fishing with his family. He was an avid fan of all sports and a dedicated coach to many teams over the years. Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Union Volunteer Fire & Rescue, 5171 Hwy 50, Dadeville, AL, 36853.
