Jackson, Sr., a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, born May 25, 1940, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010, at the age of 70.Funeral services will be Friday, September 17, 2010, at 10:00am from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis Bittle officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 16, 2010, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home.Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara S. Jackson; daughters, Amy Hicks (Chris) of Montgomery, Alabama and Sharon Jackson of Tallassee, Alabama; Sons, Cecil C. Jackson, Jr. (Pam) of Tampa, Florida and Kenny Jackson (Michelle) of Saint Petersburg, Florida; step children, Gloria Davis (Bubba), Debra Martin (Alan) and Chris Peters, all of Tallassee, Alabama; brother, Mr. Casie Jackson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; nine grandchildren; several step grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard A. and Amy D. Jackson and a brother, Joe Jackson.Mr. Jackson retired as Executive Secretary of International Union of Operating Engineers after 42 years of service.He also enjoyed cooking as a hobby, as well as watching football and wrestling.
