Mr. Wood is survived by his daughters, Deborah N. Wood and Tammy Wood Smith (Gary); grandchildren, Lindsey M. Smith and Jacob N. Smith; sisters, Betty Wood Griffith (Sam) and Ann Wood Milam; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, David and Vira Wood; brothers, Bill Wood and Doyle Wood. Mr. Wood was born on May 12, 1934, in Wetumpka, Alabama; however, he lived most of his life in Tallassee, Alabama. He worked at Schlumberger in Tallassee, where he retired after 21 years of service.Mr. Wood was a member of the Tallassee Church of Christ for many years.The family will receive friends Saturday, March 12, 2011, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
