Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at 10:00am, from Carrville Baptist Church,Tallassee, Alabama,with Rev. Lonnie Skinner and Rev. Don Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Elam BaptistCemetery with full military honors, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Barker is survived by his daughter, PamMason (Al); son, Bobby RayBarker (Pam); grandchildren, Aimee Spruill (Darren), ChrisSayers (Brooke), KelliBurt (Chad), GregSayers (Leisha), LauraRamey (Daniel), Graci Barker, Dalton Ward and Travis Ward; great grandchildren, Peyton Spruill, Carter Sayers, Andy Thomas, Kinsley Burt, Haley Burt, Morgan Blackmon, Jasmine Blackmon, DJ Ramey and Abigail Ramey; sister, Mrs. Vonelia Lowe; special sistersin-law, HelenStover (Ray)and Joyce Jones and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Jones Barker, his wife, Myrtice Hood Barker and his parents, Dallas and Ada Barker. Mr. Barker retired from the Alabama National Guard after 42 years of service.
