Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. Billy Cowan, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, and formerly of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Sunday, May 04, 2014, at the age of 77. Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 06, 2014, at 10:00 am from Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Cowan is survived by his daughters, Zoe Ramski (Edward) and Genie Morris (Richard); three grandchildren, Donna Souza (Scott Hawk), Sandra Hubbard (Scott) and Dayna Barolin (Rob); 6 great grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Harrison (Don) and Sandra Sanders (James); brother, Jimmy Cowan (Joan); special cousin, Lola Simmons; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Genie Ruth Cowan. Mr. Cowan retired from the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer.
