Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. Billy Carroll Smith, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, at the age of 76. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at 10:00 am, from Open Acres Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama, with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Burial to follow in Macedonia Christian Church Cemetery, Tallassee, Alabama, with Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Bettie Paugh Smith; daughters, Diane Johnson (Fred), Sharon Forrester (Clifford), Carol Vercher (Tim) and Alene Skipper (David); sons, Leonard T. “Bubba” Smith (Linda) and Steven Burroughs; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three brothers; six sisters and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, at Jeffcoat Funeral Home, Tallassee, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Open Acres Baptist Church, 47 Maplewood Drive, Montgomery, Alabama 36110, in honor of Billy Smith.
