Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Miss Hixie Harrison Smith, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016, at the age of 78. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 25, 2016, at 11:00AM at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Elam Baptist Church Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends also on Thursday from 10:00AM until service time. Miss Smith is survived by her sisters, Joann Ready and Alma Ruth Coleman; brother, Harry H. Smith, Jr. (Sue); several nieces and nephews; numerous friends and loved ones from Lake Martin, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hersey and Kate Smith; brother, Kerby Smith and sister, Hilda Segrest. Miss Smith attended Elam Baptist Church for many years (especially her growing up years), but recently she had been a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church – where she loved to sing in the choir.
