Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Millie Elizabeth Elia, daughter of Robert and Angie (Peterson) Elia passed away Saturday, April 04, 2015. Millie was a lifelong resident of Birmingham, Alabama. She was an active member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church and at the age of 12 surrendered her heart to Jesus Christ. Millie was in the eighth grade at Oak Mountain Middle School where she was a member of the National Junior Honor Society, a Cheerleader, and a member of the Advanced Symphonic Band where she played the flute. She was recently voted Most Dependable in Who's Who among her peers at Oak Mountain Middle School. Millie enjoyed photography and had a passion for summer missions. Along with her parents, Millie leaves behind her older brother, Rob and her younger sister, Molly; Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James (Sue) Peterson, Birmingham, Alabama, Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Martha) Elia, Mobile, Alabama, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Nellie) Elia, Ozark, Alabama. Among Millie's favorite people were her Aunts, Uncles and a host of Cousins. She leaves us with many precious memories that we will treasure forever. All who knew Millie will miss her sweet spirit and contagious smile. Visitation will be Thursday, April 09, 2015, at Meadow Brook Baptist Church from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Chris Jones officiating. There will be a private interment Friday, April 10, 2015, at Currie Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
