Mrs. Mary Frances Nelson, a resident of Dadeville, Alabama, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the age of 84. She was born April 3, 1939 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, to Ernest and Hazel Kelly Heaton.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband, JW Nelson; daughter, Teresa Pitchford; son, Mitch Nelson; sister, Martha Thornton; brother, Ronald Heaton (Jennifer); 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one on the way; sister-in-law, Judy Heaton and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert O. and Hazel Kelley Wright and Earnest Heaton, daughter, Rhonda Cullars; brother, Leroy Heaton; brother-in-law, Wes Thornton; son-in-law, Ken Pitchford and daughter-in-law, Julie Nelson.

Mary Frances was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved the Lord and her church, and always put her family before everything else. She will be greatly missed, but her family rejoices in the comfort that she is with her Heavenly Father and family who went before her.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 2:00PM until service time at 3:00PM at Saugahatchee Assembly of God, 14521 Highway 49 South in Camp Hill, Alabama. Graveside service to follow. Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing.
