Mrs. Lou Ann T. Tatum, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born September 4, 1934, to Alton and Doris Taunton.
Mrs. Tatum is survived by her son, Charles Frank Tatum (Molly); sisters, Betty Jean Morgan and Ruby Mae James; brother, Freddie A. Taunton (Susan); granddaughters, Tara Ashford (Mike) and Jessica Tatum (Jack); great grandchildren, Gabriel and Abigail Ashford; sister-in-law, Dean Mann; aunts, Mary Boddie and Annie Ruth Stroud; several nieces, nephews and her little dog, Emma.
She is preceded in death by her husband of forty five years, Willie C. Tatum and parents, Alton and Doris Taunton.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dot and the entire staff of Chapman Nursing Home for their attentive and personal care.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at Jeffcoat Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, November 13, 2023, at 11:00AM at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel.
There will be a private family burial in Rose Hill Cemetery at a later time.
