Linda Faye Harris, a luminous beacon of love and devotion, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026. Born on May 3, 1947, Faye’s life was a testament to the enduring power of compassion, dedication, and heartfelt service to others. She departed this world lovingly surrounded by “her girls,” a cherished circle that reflected the profound connections she so tenderly nurtured throughout her seventy-eight years.

From the very beginning, Faye embodied a spirit that was both dynamic and nurturing. A phenomenal cook with an enviable flair for hospitality, she delighted in bringing people together around her table, where the warmth of her heart was as palpable as the delightful meals she prepared. Her love for Elvis revealed a playful and joyous side, a connection to a timeless era that brought unmistakable sparkle to her life.

Faye was a woman of great integrity, admired for her honesty and her servant’s heart, qualities that she lived out daily. True to her nature, she found profound joy in giving of herself to meet the needs of others, a gift that echoed through every relationship she cherished.

Faye’s living legacy is carried forward proudly by her beloved grandchildren, those she affectionately called “her girls”: Lindsey Parker (Matt), Molly Valladares (Carlos), and Samantha Jimmerson (Wesley). The joy of her life was further enriched by MawMaw’s great-grandchildren—Aiden, Elizabeth, Eli, Robert, and one precious little one eagerly awaited. Her close-knit family circle was supported by her brothers—Jesse O’Neal Henderson, Gary Henderson, and Jimmy Smith (Peggie)—along with a host of nieces and nephews who always held her in the highest regard. Among her dearest companions was Carolyn Varden, her steadfast best friend, who shared countless moments of friendship and solace.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-eight years, Ralph E. “Cotton” Harris; her son, Mark Allen Harris; parents, Jesse B. and Mary Jim “Nonnie” Henderson and sister, Mary Margaret Cullars.

The community will gather to honor Linda’s remarkable life at Jeffcoat Funeral Home, located at 255 Friendship Road, Tallassee, Alabama 36078. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 2:00PM until 3:00PM, providing a time for reflection and remembrances. This will be followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at 3:00PM, a fitting tribute to a soul who so deeply touched the lives of many. The service will be officiated by Reverend Jay Woodall.

In the quiet spaces left in the wake of her passing, one can still sense the enduring strength of a woman who loved deeply, served faithfully, and embraced life with open arms. Linda Faye Harris shall remain forever etched in the hearts of those she loved, a paragon of kindness and a profound caregiver whose indelible spirit will continue to inspire.
