Mrs. Judy Ivey Dennis, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the age of 82. She was born March 15, 1941, in Chester County, South Carolina to James Alvin and Evelyn Ann James Ivey.
Mrs. Dennis is survived by her children, Robert B. Dennis (Sharon Kimbrough), Lori Butler (Ronald) and Rhett Dennis; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Dennis; grandchildren, Abigail Matsuyama (Aron), Katherine Burkhart (J.T.), Brian Dennis, Brad Butler (Misty), Emily Anderson, Lance Dennis, Rachel Randall (Thomas), Jill Durham (Britton) and Shane Booth (Helena) and great grandchildren, Addison Matsuyama, Olivia Burkhart, Emilia Burkhart, Zachary Butler, Ethan Butler, William Anderson, Eli Randall, Cohen Randall, Jay Durham, Kylee Durham, Tucker Durham, Cole Booth and August Booth.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert Dennis; parents, James and Ann Ivey and her son, Greg Dennis.
Judy was a nurse for over thirty years. She loved her family, her church family and just had a real love for people.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 1:00PM until service time at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church, Tallassee, Alabama. Burial will follow in Elam Baptist Cemetery.
