Judy Dianne Webster Bonifay Nelson, a cherished luminary of the Tallassee community, left this world to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the age of 80. Born to the gentle and nurturing hands of Dorace and Margaret Rhodes Webster on December 23, 1944, in Tallassee, Alabama, Judy blossomed into a remarkable individual who embraced life with warmth, grace, and an unwavering love for those around her.

For over three decades, Judy dedicated herself to her craft as a barber, leaving an indelible mark upon the hearts of her clients and friends alike. Her passion extended far beyond the mere act of cutting hair; it was in the myriad of conversations and shared laughter that she built lasting relationships, each haircut a cherished moment in the tapestry of her life. Judy’s talent was matched only by her kindness, as she welcomed all who entered her chair with open arms and a genuine smile.

A lifelong resident of Reeltown, Alabama, Judy held a profound appreciation for history, music, and art, which enriched her spirit and those fortunate enough to share in her company. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, embodying the values of devotion and care through her every interaction. With a heart as expansive as the Southern sky, she cultivated a legacy of love that will resonate through generations.

Judy is survived by her devoted husband, Mitchell Randy Nelson, whose companionship brought joy and comfort to her days. She is the cherished mother of Vanessa Tullo, alongside her husband Paul, and David Bonifay, accompanied by his wife Meghan. The profound pride Judy took in her role as a grandmother shines brightly through her adoring grandchildren: Jordan Tullo, Baylie Tullo, Jarrell Bonifay, Madilynn Bonifay, Collins Bonifay, Koden McNelley, Madison Webster, and Chase Webster. Each grandchild carries a piece of her spirit, ensuring that her legacy of love will endure.

In her passing, Judy joins her beloved parents, Dorace and Margaret Rhodes Webster, and her sister, Shelia Lee, in eternal rest. Their love continues to illuminate her path, guiding her through the realms beyond.

As we gather to honor the life and legacy of Judy Dianne Webster Bonifay Nelson, a visitation will take place on July 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM, both held at the Macedonia Christian Church located at 2685 Macedonia Road, Tallassee, Alabama, 36078. It is here that family and friends will come together to celebrate the radiant life of this remarkable woman who blessed us all with her presence.

Her memory, much like the timeless melodies she adored, will forever remain in our hearts, reminding us to carry forward the love and kindness she so freely bestowed upon us. Judy's journey has not ended; rather, it continues through the stories we share and the love we keep alive. 

In the words echoed in her spirit is a reflection of her faith:  "Do not let your hearts be troubled, You believe in God;  believe also in me.  My Father's house has many rooms;  if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?"
