Jeff will be remembered as a hardworking and capable man who retired after 37 years at J.R. Smith Manufacturing. He was known as a “Jack of All Trades,” a description that reflected both his skill and his willingness to take on whatever needed to be done. Outside of work, he loved riding Harleys, camping, and woodworking. He also enjoyed trips to the mountains and the coast, creating memories through time spent with those he loved and in places that brought him peace and happiness.
Above all, Jeff treasured his family. He is survived by his wife, Toni H. Tidwell, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. He also leaves behind his children, Timothy Mount and his wife, Katie, Tracey Hopson and her husband, Jason, and Travis Tidwell and his wife, Rachel. His family continued to grow through the generations, and he is also survived by his grandchildren, Hunter Hopson, Calob Hopson, Anna Hopson, Samantha Mount, Owen Mount, Isabella Saunders, and Elizabeth Tidwell.
Jeff is also survived by his brother, Rodney Tidwell and his wife, Deborah; his sister, Elaine Bradford and her husband, Alvin; and his brother-in-law, Tommy Kameda. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Harold and Mary Frances Baker Tidwell and sister, Marilyn Kameda.
Jeff’s life was marked by dedication to his work, enjoyment of the outdoors, and deep love for his family. His memory will continue to live on in the lives of those he loved so well.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 12:00PM until service time at 1:00PM at Vessel Church, Minister Rodney Tidwell and Pastor Adam Turner officiating.
