Ms. Janet “Jan” Clair Ballard, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born July 20, 1956, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Alanson David Brown, Jr and Margaret Sinclair Brown.
Ms. Ballard is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Johnny Clayton; daughters, Shelley Scire (Rob) and Raigan Ballard; stepdaughters, Ashley Clayton Stroud and Trisha Clayton; twelve grandchildren, Shacee, Shayden, Gabe, Michael, Robby, Brena, Addison, Clayton, Leila, Micah, Tannon and Jameson; sister, Margaret Lynn Caldwell; brother-in-law, Mike Smith and nieces and nephews, David, Lee, Nathan, Kayte and Carrie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alanson and Margaret Brown and sister, Dianne Smith.
Jan loved surgical nursing and animals, but especially loved being “Nanny.”

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11:00AM at the Tallassee First Assembly of God.
