James Harold “Jimmy” Wyatt, born on October 8, 1930, departed this life on November 18, 2025. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished grandfather whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jimmy had a commendable career, being employed for several years by Mount Vernon Mills in Tallassee, Alabama. His dedication and work ethic were evident to all who were fortunate to work alongside him. Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Wyatt served his country honorably as a veteran of the United States Army, a testament to his commitment and service.

Jimmy was a man of many talents and interests. He had a profound passion for woodworking, a craft that not only brought him joy but also allowed him to share his art with the community. Each first Saturday of the month, he proudly displayed his creations at Santuck Flea Market in Wetumpka, Alabama, where his skill and artistry were appreciated by many.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Martha J. Wyatt, and their three daughters: Linda Anderson, Sonya Benoyt, and Melissa Bush (Donald). His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Elisha McCartha, Timothy McCartha, Brian McCartha, Joseph McCartha, Robin Crabtree (Dustin), Daniel Bush, and Megan Bush. He also took great joy in his great-grandchildren: Jacob McCartha, Zack McCartha, Noah McCartha, and Tara Crabtree. Additionally, he leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.

Mr. Wyatt is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Lee and Mary Whetstone Wyatt; his son-in-law, Andy Anderson; and his sisters, Flora and Lib. Their memories will forever be intertwined with his.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Jimmy at a later date, allowing family and friends to come together to share stories and memories of this remarkable man. James Harold Wyatt’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those he has left behind, and he will be remembered for his unwavering love, creativity, and generosity.
