Monroe Davidson, a resident of Opelika, Alabama, and formerly of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014, at the age of 98. Graveside services will be Monday, February 3, 2014, at 2:00 pm from Carrville Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Martin officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Davidson is survived by his daughters, Julia Walton and Martha Gilliland (Bill); sons, Joseph Davidson (Joy) and Paul Davidson (Rebecca); eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren ; sisters, Jane Hardy (Bobby) and Jean Crocker (William L.). He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mary Jo Davidson; parents, Rush and Essie Davidson; brother, Alphonso Davidson and son-in-law, Jack L.
