Hieu Trung Hoang, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on March 16, 1970, in Vietnam, Hieu's journey brought him to the United States, where he became a cherished member of his community in Tallassee, Alabama.

A devoted family man, Hieu was married for 29 years to his loving wife, Mary Ngoc Binh Hoang. Together, they shared a life filled with love, respect, and companionship. He took great joy in being an uncle to his 15 nieces and nephews, and he delighted in his role as a great uncle to 21 great nieces and nephews. The bonds he formed with his family were a source of immense pride and happiness for him, and they, in return, adored him deeply.

His brothers, Tony Chuong Hoang and Richard Hoang, and sisters, Kim Toi Nguyen and Kymmie Hoang-Nguyen, mourn his loss deeply, but they too carry with them a treasure trove of memories of Hieu's gentle nature and unwavering love. Every story shared among the family is a testament to the impact Hieu had on their lives, providing comfort and joy even in the simplest moments. Another way he loved to entertain his friends and family was his love for karaoke.

Hieu was known for his gentle spirit, approaching life with kindness and warmth. His caring nature extended not only to his family but also to his beloved pets, Bow Bow and Merg, who were cherished companions in his life.

Education played an important role in Hieu's life, and he actively engaged in his spiritual community by attending St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Tallassee. His faith was a guiding force, instilling in him values that he cherished and passed on to those around him.

His deep compassion left a lasting impression on all who had the honor of knowing him. Hieu’s friends, including his best friend Father The Nguyen, will remember him for his unwavering support and the light he brought into their lives.

Hieu Trung Hoang will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered. His legacy of love, gentleness, and devotion to family and friends will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in his life.

A funeral mass will be held at a later date at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Santa Ana, California. Burial will be at Westminster Memorial Park in Westminster, California.
