Gregory Morris Middleton passed away in his home in Eclectic Al, surrounded by family on June 30, 2026.

Greg had a deep faith in the Lord and found great comfort in knowing he would spend eternity in Heaven.

Greg’s biggest love was his family. For the last decade, he found great joy in camping with his wife, family and friends. He was a diesel mechanic by trade but always loved fixing cars and anything else he could take apart and put back together.

He was a fun-loving man who always had the perfect comebacks. He was known for his quick wit. He had a special relationship with his border Collie (Maggie) that never left his side after being diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer.

He is survived by the love of his life Tammy Middleton for the past 39 years; children, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Ellis, Jessica (Jamie) Betterton, Jason (Brook) Middleton, and Katie (Matt) Hardin; grandchildren, Braxton, Clayton, Lainey, Tyler, Brodie, Olivia, Mikaia, Alex, Maddie, Chase, Jayden, Kensley, Summer, Madison, and Ava; one great-grandchild, Eden; sisters, Pat (Tom) Medders, Linda (Jesse) McWilliams, and Debbie Middleton; brothers in law, Adam (Jill) Lawrence, Matthew (Jesie) Lawrence, and Josh Lawrence; father-in-law, Larry (Cindy) Lawrence; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Morris Middleton and mother, June Middleton; step-father, Stanley Middleton and mother-in-law, Rickie Lawrence.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 3, 2026, from 1:00PM until service time at 2:00PM at Jeffcoat Funeral Home, Tallassee, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Montgomery Cancer Center, 4145 Carmichael Road, Montgomery, AL 36106 or your favorite charity.
