Mr. Frederick Jones, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born February 19, 1936, in Tallassee, Alabama, to Charlie and Louise Melton Jones.

Mr. Jones is survived by his sons, Jason Jones (Deidre) and Jared Jones; sisters, Bucka Golden and Jerrie Christian; grandchildren, Collin Jones, Evelyn Grace Jones, Jace Jones and Jade Jones; great grandchildren, Coltyn Reaves and Kylie Reaves and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rita Finlayson Jones; parents, Charlie and Louise Jones; brother, Mel Jones and sister, Olivia Jones.

Mr. Jones worked for more than thirty-five years at Mount Vernon Mills followed by service with the State Employment Office.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 1:00PM until service time at 2:00PM at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Trey Waldrop officiating. There will be a private family burial Monday, March 10, 2025, at 1:00PM at Rose Hill Cemetery.
