Mr. Donald Berry Mulder, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Baptist South in Montgomery, Alabama, surrounded by his cherished family. Born on July 10, 1947, in Elmore County, Alabama, he lived a life marked by dedication, love, and a profound appreciation for the simple pleasures that life offers.

Mr. Mulder devoted the majority of his professional life to Lloyd's Distributing Company in Tallassee, Alabama, before seeking other opportunities as he transitioned into retirement. His work was a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, traits that he carried into all aspects of his life.

In his personal life, Donald was a man of many interests. He found immense joy in watching westerns, immersing himself in the tales of cowboys and the adventurous spirit they portrayed. He also embraced nature's beauty; lovingly crafting birdhouses that adorned his yard, where he could spend countless serene hours observing birds as they came and went. He had a special affection for cats, in particular, his beloved Luna, whose companionship brought him great comfort and happiness.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Margaret Cochran Mulder, with whom he shared a love that blossomed on November 13, 1966, solidifying a partnership filled with mutual respect and admiration. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their daughter, Rebecca Hale (Mickey), and son, Troy Mulder (Michele). He was a proud grandfather to granddaughter, Mandy Blakely (Cory), and grandsons, Micah Brackett (Jana) and Chadston Mulder. The light of his life also shone upon his great-grandchildren, Emily, James and Luke Blakely, and Maverick Brackett, each of whom brought immense joy to his heart. Additionally, he leaves behind his brother, Charles Mulder, along with several wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who will cherish the memories they created together.

Donald is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Opal Woodall; father, Gamble Mulder; brothers, Julius Mulder and Monroe Mulder; and sisters, Agnes Spivey, Diane Osborne, and Judy Lindsey.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00AM until service time at 11:00AM at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jay Woodall officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The warmth of his spirit and the kindness he showed to others will continue to inspire all who knew him. Mr. Mulder will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be a beacon of love and devotion in the lives he touched.
