Connie Cantrell Bass, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the age of 66. She was born September 7, 1956 in Montgomery, Alabama to William Lawrence and Betty Jo Mims Cantrell.
Connie is survived by her wife of 28 years, Laura Cahoon; daughter, Leslie Ogburn (Travis); son, Jason Bass; brother, Gregory “Rusty” Cantrell (Judy); grandchildren, Casey Ogburn and Ethan Ogburn and niece, Kimberly Bullock.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Betty Cantrell.
Connie liked to travel, loved animals and enjoyed spoiling her family. She worked over 40 years in Labor and Delivery and was a Professor of Nursing at Troy State University in Montgomery, Alabama and Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 12:00PM until her Celebration of Life Service at 1:00PM at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel.
