Candace "Candy" Diebold Burdette, a revered member of her community and a dedicated professional, passed away on June 8, 2025, in Opelika, Alabama, at the age of 51. Born on August 20, 1973, in Taegu, South Korea, she left an indelible mark on all who knew her throughout her life.

Candy was a Lead Safety Specialist with the Veterans Administration in Tuskegee, Alabama, where she dedicated 16 years of her life serving veterans with utmost commitment and care. Her service reflected not only her professional capabilities but also her deep-seated passion for ensuring the safety and well-being of others. In addition to her professional achievements, Candy was also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, embodying the courage and dedication that characterizes those who serve their country.

Candy was known for her vibrant personality and her infectious love for all living things. She embraced life enthusiastically, often sharing her enthusiasm for nature and animals with those around her. Her warm spirit and caring nature connected her with countless individuals, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randall Wayne Burdette; her beloved mother, Chong Diebold; and her two cherished sons, Gavyn Burdette and Cameryn Burdette. Candy is also survived by her devoted brother, Daryl Diebold, Jr.; her sisters, Chong Ann Harlow (Jason) and Tae Suk Diebold; her sister-in-law, Aleda Harris; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who will remember her fondly.

Candy is preceded in death by her father, Daryl A. Diebold, Sr., who will be remembered alongside her as they reunite.
