Jeffcoat Funeral Home255 Friendship RoadTallassee, AL 36078Tel (334) 283-6801 Daniel Blaine Carlisle, 22, a resident of South Lake Tahoe, California, and formerly of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born February 28, 1989, in Montgomery, Alabama. Blaine attended Tallassee High School, where he was a member of numerous honor societies, and graduated in 2007 as Valedictorian of his class. After graduation, he attended Auburn University on scholarship, joined Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and maintained a 4.0 GPA during his time at Auburn.His adventurous spirit took him to South Lake Tahoe, CA, where he enjoyed the atmosphere and activities that the area offered. Blaine leaves behind his parents, Paul and Paula Carlisle of Statesboro, Georgia; his brother, Ryan Bubba Carlisle (Jackie) and sister, Brandi Carlisle McGinn (Mike) of Athens, Georgia; nieces, Sydney, Brittan and Cassidy and nephew, Michael. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Billy and Sarah Thompson of Tallassee, Alabama; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his best friend, Corey McKee and a multitude of other friends.Blaine is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Velpoue and Ola Mae Carlisle and his beloved dog, Toby. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 18, 2011, at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church, Tallassee, with Rev. John Carney officiating. Burial will follow in Carrville Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing.The family will receive friends Saturday, September 17, 2011, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at First Baptist Church, Tallassee.
