Funeral services will be Sunday, July 25, 2010, at 2:00pm from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Derek Gentle and Dr. David Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.The family will receive friends Sunday, July 25, 2010, from 1:00pm until funeral time at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.Surviving relatives include her husband of 60 years, Mr. Ralph Edwin Pete Hale; son, Donald Edwin Hale (Ethel); grandson, Tyler Hale (Christy); granddaughter, Emily Taylor (Jeff); grandson, William Hale (Lori); six great grandchildren; brother, Floyd Eugene Burt; sisters-in-law, Frances Burt and Isabell Burt; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Anne Hale, Jerry and Patsy Hale and a large number of nieces and nephews.Ruth, as she was most commonly known, is preceded in death by her parents, William Robert Burt and Sarah Mason Burt; sister, Flora Burt Butler; and brothers, William Edgar Burt, Charlie Thomas Burt, Holman Burt, Robert Earl Burt, Tenneson Burt and Ferrell Lee Burt.Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. While she was always frugal in her lifestyle, she made sure that her family was always taken care of. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tallassee, Alabama.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 780368, Tallassee, Alabama 36078.
