Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mrs. Dorothy Lee McGhee Gann Gibson, a resident of Equality, Alabama, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012, at the age of 77. She was born April 29, 1935, in Tallapoosa County and raised in Reeltown, Alabama. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at 7:00pm from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel in Tallassee, Alabama, with Chaplain Tim Callaway of Alacare Hospice officiating. Mrs. Gibson is survived by her husband, Mr. William Jerry Gibson; children, Stanley (Yvonne) Gann of Deatsville, Alabama, Steve (Laurie) Gann of Reeltown, Alabama, Stuart Gann of Seman, Alabama, Vivian (Lou) Rodriguez of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Jerry Lee (Beverly) Gibson of Wetumpka, Alabama, Sonny (Melinda) Davis and Linda (Randy) Baxter, all of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Jessica (Lex) Owens of Mathews, Alabama, Joni (Tylor) Hibbard of Millbrook, Alabama, Jody (Casey) Gann of Cropwell, Alabama, Hannah Gann of Reeltown, Alabama, Turner Gibson of Wetumpka, Alabama, Chase and Blair Davis, Bryan, Heath and Cole Baxter, all of Montgomery, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Colt Hibbard, Landon Hibbard and Alex Owens. Mrs. Gibson is preceded in death by her parents, Dowdell H. McGhee and Alma O. Deese and sisters, Josephine Calhoun and Mary Dillard Brandt. Mrs. Gibson was a devoted mother, homemaker, and owned and operated two businesses in Montgomery for a number of years. Upon retirement, she moved to Lake Martin where she made many happy memories with her family and friends.
