Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. Paul McCager Sears, 52, a Montgomery, Alabama native, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be Monday, December 23, 2013, at 11:00 am at Refuge Baptist Church, Eclectic, Alabama, with Rev. Steve Scarborough officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 23, 2013, from 9:30 am until service time at the church. Paul was an accomplished artist who attended the University Of Alabama, majoring in art. He was influenced by the surrealism of Salvador Dali in many of his paintings. He had various occupations throughout his life, but had worked for the last fifteen years with Jerry Bise Painting in Montgomery, Alabama. Paul loved the outdoors and was an avid birder. He lived at Lake Martin, Alabama, for twenty years. Paul is survived by his son, Christopher McCager Sears; brother, Wallace David Sears of Vestavia Hills, Alabama; sister, Pamela Ruth Sears Boswell (Wiely) of Montgomery, Alabama; nieces and nephews, W. David Sears, Jr., Melinda Sears, Starr Boswell Parnell and Sutherland Boswell; a very special friend, Karen Posey and his beloved dog, Bonnie. He is preceded in death by his parents, David M. and Ruth W. Sears.
