Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. James “Skeeter” Howell Simmons, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the age of 71. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at 11:00AM from Saugahatchee Assembly of God with Rev. Joe Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Saugahatchee Assembly of God Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Simmons; children, Pam Mann (Darryl), Angie Nelson (Barry) and James “Spanky” Simmons (Dana); step children, Steve Hancock (Shannon), Stefanie Lawrence and Donnie Wood; grandchildren, Dwayne Mann (Courtney), Jessi Adams (Jacob), Grace and Mason Mann, Amber and Kyle Nelson, Alexis and Caitlin Simmons; step grandchildren, Cameron Price, Blake, Alivia and Collin Hancock, Lindsey Silas (Dylan), Landon Lawrence, Taylor and Tyser Wood; great grandchildren, Aubrey Faith Mann, Hunter and Caileigh Cheek, Brody Hancock and Ana Leigh Silas; siblings, Shelby Jean Smith (Bob), Frank Douglas Ingram, Reba Kay Wesson, Debra Yvonne Crutchfield, Wanda Elaine Robison, Maria Nicole Pannell and Christina Sue Barr; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his birth parents, Howell Woodrow Christian and Frances Olla Simmons; adoptive parents, Brodie and Evelyn Hornsby; sister, Joann Frazier and brother, Charles Wesson.
