Jeffcoat Funeral Home 255 Friendship Road Tallassee, AL 36078 Tel (334) 283-6801 Mr. Ben T. “Bubber” Brooks, Jr. passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at his home in Red Land, Alabama, at the age of 71. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 1:00 PM from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Ryan Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Carrville Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mrs. Harriett Davidson Brooks; son, Ben T. Brooks, III; mother, Mrs. Frances R. Brooks; sister, Claudia Harman; mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Davidson and a close friend, Rich Thomas. He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Ben T. Brooks, Sr. and his father-in-law, Mr. Harley A. Davidson. Bubber and his father were in the Wholesale Auto Parts Business for many years and after his father passed away, he continued to run the business until his retirement. Bubber was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time at his condo at Orange Beach with two special friends, Wetzel Wood and Randy Hester, on his boat, “Salt Shaker.” The family would like to extend a special appreciation to Dr. Scott McDaniel, Nurse Leslie Ward and the wonderful staff of Montgomery Cancer Center, Montgomery, Alabama. Visitation will be Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 12:00 PM until funeral time at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
